A children’s book about fashion designer Vivienne Westwood
Vivienne Westwood is one of the world’s most renowned and provocative fashion designers. She came to public notice when she met Malcolm McLaren, who opened the door to the world of art, politics and freedom for her. Their boutique in London specialized in clothing that defined the look of the punk movement in the 1970s. Westwood built a fashion empire. Her clothes revolutionized the use of traditional fabrics and styles. She is also an activist, embracing causes like climate change. In 2006, she was named Dame Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. Since then, she has been known as the “Grande Dame of British Fashion.”
